Here’s some more legacy video from 1995 when FM Station was rocking North Hollywood. I participated in this project while I was still playing for Lil’ Elmo and the Cosmos. Steve is on the left, with Lou Ozonko on bass, Jay Roewe on keyboards, Mickey Walker on drums, and yours truly.

Steve has a CD available on CDBaby

The Apron Incident

Just discovered video! Never released! Never viewed!

Live from the Railhead in Boulder Station, Las Vegas!

On any other night this would have been another sterling rendition of Harlem Nocturne by Michael Kleid. As we are in the midst of it, here comes Spike out of the wings in an apron, cigarette dangling, with a feather duster. It’s hard to see because of the quality of the video, but hang with it. When he turns around, he’s got nothing but boxers on…

Lil Elmo and the Cosmos – Hot August Nights 1995

Shows, Video 5 Comments »

Here are some video nuggets from the past.

The setup is this – our drummer Jack had broken his wrist shortly before this string of gigs and we’re playing here with a sub who came in on short notice. We have to follow Blood Sweat and Tears with David Clayton Thomas who performed a kick-ass show. We are feeling totally under the gun heading to the stage to face about 12,000 people. This is our opening number…

This next clip is from the next night. We had played Hot August Nights since the beginning. I had written a song that had a heavy nostalgic vibe and it became a crowd favorite here. Steve sings his ass off…

Dig my hair. Remember this is before Dog the Bounty Hunter.

This last cut is also from Hot August Nights but it’s from 1994. This incident lives in Cosmo infamy and we were lucky enough to catch it on video. Keep your eye on Spike…

The promoter was having a coronary with that one…

That’s it for now…
